Many think of theory as the "mystical" part of music. Let me teach you that it isn't that difficult. 

"Music theory is the language and grammar used to describe, communicate, and analyze how music works. It acts as a conceptual framework, explaining the "why" behind musical sounds by breaking down elements like notes, chords, scales, and rhythm" ~ Google ;)

And when we understand the "why", we play our instruments better.

Theory is included in the above lessons, but you may want a more focused lesson on just learning the building blocks of music.
